THW x TANZ IN DEN MAI

When April gives way to May, Tanzhaus West transforms into a cross-genre hub of electronic club culture. On three floors, atmospheric aesthetics, driving grooves and techno converge. In the café the Lucid collective stages its “Enchanted Forest” concept with trance vibes, while the Dora hosts Electric Grooves and headliner wAFF to celebrate Jermaine Dotson’s birthday. Meanwhile, the heart of the house beats under the direction of Schacke, VEL and the THW residents.

THW Techno Floor
At the center is the Tanzhaus Techno Floor. Here energy and artistic depth meet, while the building’s architecture becomes a canvas for an internationally assembled line-up. Leading the bill are two renewers of the European techno sound:
Schacke is a key figure in the Copenhagen scene and a co-creator of the “Fast Forward” sound. His sets combine fast techno, trance-tinged elements and hypnotic rhythms.
VEL, an artist based in Lyon and founder of the PURR label, fuses influences from her Moroccan heritage with contemporary sound design. Her sets pair percussive kicks with melodic nuances. VEL varies BPM and genres — “Vel at first sight.”
Framing the night are the Tanzhaus residents. Felix stands for punchy, powerful techno; Laurine Philippe brings atmosphere and striking hooks. Together they keep the main floor’s energy going until the last beat.

Electric Grooves & Jermaine Dotson Birthday Floor
At the same time, the Dora becomes the Electric Grooves floor. Jermaine Dotson, head of Electric Grooves, celebrates his birthday. The program is led by wAFF. The Nature label boss and long-time Hot Creations resident blends house and techno in his sets; he will present his sound in the Dora.
The Electric Grooves residents shape the evening: Jermaine Dotson, Carsten Schreiber, Alexander Aurel and Merissaa Mahilaa.

Lucid Floor
In the café, Lucid brings trance vibes and bounce together. The “Enchanted Forest” décor sets the scene. The line-up balances nostalgia and contemporary intensity: at the core of the night are DJ Textor b2b Nikush, who fuse hard trance, bounce and Eurodance with Makina influences. In their solo slots: Nikush delivers rapid mixing with a focus on dynamics; DJ Textor provides prominent leads and playful synths with nods to happy hardcore. The bill is rounded out by Kakuzi, co-founder of the Lucid collective, offering melodic trance, bounce and a touch of psy. Otis XO b2b Unruh contribute acid originals and rock influences; their set blends bounce with hard house.

Secret Floor
There is also a secret floor; the line-up is being kept under wraps for now.
