The Itch (Simon Tyrie and Georgia Hardy) are sharing their new 2025 music with a double A-side comprising “The Influencer” and “Co-Conspirator,” marking their first release on Fiction Records / I OH YOU.
These two companion tracks twist and reinvent identical audio stems to create distorted sister compositions. Using the same drums and bass and manipulating the vocals into new melodic hooks, “Co-Conspirator” morphs the DNA of “The Influencer” into a darker, club-oriented reworking, sharing the same key, the same BPM, the same lyrical themes and the same sonic material.
In line with this idea of reinterpreting a common base, the videos accompanying “The Influencer” and “Co-Conspirator” were both shot in the same room but in different states. The first lets dancer Joshua Hubbard move freely through an empty space, while the “Co-Conspirator” video assembles footage from a club night hosted by The Itch in that same venue the week before.
