Celtic Legends

Celtic Legends celebrates its 25th anniversary with a brand-new, entirely live show on 6 March 2027 at the Zénith de Saint-Étienne. The company brings together dancers, musicians and singers for a journey into the heart of Irish dance, blending crisp, percussive footwork, group formations and more intimate moments. Conceived by choreographer Jacintha Sharpe, the sequences unfold like a dialogue between stage and music, playing on contrasts, attentive listening and collective energy.

Musically, five musicians led by Sean McCarthy establish a traditional framework without excess. Uilleann pipes, penny whistle, fiddle, bodhrán and guitar deliver reels, jigs and ballads, supporting and propelling the steps, speeding up and then settling as the scenes progress. After years of international touring, Celtic Legends returns to the essentials: a tighter ensemble, a closer connection with the audience and stagecraft that places dance at the center. The format is designed to recapture the pulse of Irish pubs and stages, with that blend of virtuosity, rhythmic precision and melody that runs through the entire show.
