On April 12, 2026 at the Rex de Toulouse in Toulouse, 8ruki arrives with a rap that slips from one genre to another. Born in the Paris region, he has honed his ear through travels and releases on SoundCloud since 2018, moving from plug to boom‑bap, from trap to Afro‑tinged colors and sung melodies. Projects like Steam, Green Lobby, 8Gang (with JMK$) and PoweredByRuki with its extensions laid the foundations of a shifting catalogue, continued by INT8TION and then POURquoi!!. A sold‑out La Cigale reaffirmed his stage roots. In 2025 he relaunched the PoweredByRuki series with several developments and released a string of singles, hinting at LOBBY as an echo of his Green Lobby mixtapes. On stage, fast tempos, heavy bass and autotune used as an instrument alternate between punchy tracks and more melodic passages.
Rowjay comes from Montreal with French‑language trap fed by synth‑driven productions and dry, staccato rhythms. His writing moves between French and English, and his supple flow nests into wide basslines and choruses made to be chanted. Used to collaborations and short formats, he crafts his tracks for the stage, shifting between tense numbers and more melodic stretches.
