Daran

On May 7, 2026, Le Bijou in Toulouse welcomes Daran, a singer-songwriter rooted in the French rock scene since the 1990s. First noticed with Daran et les Chaises, he has since carved out a more personal path where francophone song meets guitars and rock rhythms. His writing, often narrative, puts the lyrics front and center, with arrangements that shift between electric energy, pop-rock formats and more stripped-back, folk-tinged moods.

Now based in Montreal after a long journey through France, Daran splits his performances between France and Quebec. In concert he alternates electric tension with quieter, more intimate moments, drawing on a repertoire nourished by chanson and North American influences. At Le Bijou he presents that same clear line: songs that breathe, a guitar that leads the way, and a sense of storytelling that holds everything together.
