Between Martinique and France, Yaniss Odua has been shaping a reggae at the crossroads of roots and dancehall since the 1990s. On stage, he alternates melodic singing and toasting, with lyrics in French and Creole that address social realities, everyday life and attachment to the Caribbean. From sound systems to clubs, he has developed a set with a band, built on deep bass lines, crisp skanks and contemporary arrangements. His discography, from Yon pa yon to Un autre soleil, then Moment idéal and Stay High, establishes a modern reggae open to Jamaican, Francophone and Antillean influences. On April 30, 2026 at La Traverse in Cléon, he will perform this repertoire live, moving between laid-back grooves, more incisive passages and hooks crafted for the stage. From his classics to his recent tracks, he carries onstage the continuity of a career forged through recordings, tours and collaborations.
