Zentone

Born from the meeting of Zenzile and High Tone, Zentone stakes a claim to a dub that deliberately blurs the boundaries between sonic experimentation, world music and reggae. On 23 October 2026 at the KUBB in Évreux, the collective presents a tight line-up where machines and electronic textures intertwine with organic grooves, in a constant dialogue derived from their studio sessions. On stage, the two entities build layer by layer, dismantle and then reassemble motifs, letting improvisation shape the sonic material without losing the rhythmic thread.

Since 2025, Jolly Joseph has joined the project, bringing a roots vocal that anchors the endeavor in the reggae tradition. With Messenger, Zentone embraces this vocal aspect while retaining a modern identity—made of delays, echoes and basslines that take their time to unfold. The set moves between hypnotic pulses and more spacious respites, marked by the rapport of musicians who know one another and respond in kind. A live show conceived as a collective playground, where every detail matters and where dub is as much lived as it is heard.
