On 9 June 2026 at the New Morning in Paris, an evening brings together five prominent voices of contemporary jazz: Paolo Fresu, David Linx, Gustavo Beytelmann, Enrico Pieranunzi and Bebo Ferra. A trumpeter and flugelhorn player born in Sardinia, Fresu cultivates the art of nuance, breath and melody. His way of shaping silence and making every note sing creates an ideal space for the texture and sense of rhythm of Belgian vocalist David Linx, who is accustomed to close-knit dialogues with instrumentalists.
Argentine pianist and composer Gustavo Beytelmann anchors improvisation in precise writing, conducive to supple exchanges and subtle harmonic colors. Roman pianist Enrico Pieranunzi continues the conversation with a style marked by clear phrasing, situated between a bop heritage and a strong melodic sense, always attentive to the piano’s inner song. Present alongside them, Bebo Ferra broadens the palette and suggests other combinations, from countermelodies to collective breaths.
An encounter conceived as a listening space, where timbres and melodies meet naturally.
