On October 31, 2026, at Le 106 in Rouen, Roadrunners revives that moment when French rock was shaped through contact with rhythm and blues. Active in the mid-1960s, the band drew on the British and American scenes to forge a direct sound: brisk tempos, guitars pushed forward, straightforward vocals, and that garage patina inherited from the earliest rock’n’roll. Their repertoire, built from covers and original songs released on 45s, was honed in the clubs and venues that defined the scene of the time, and still retains that sense of unadorned efficiency. On stage, the balance is clear and taut: sharp riffs, a pinpoint tight rhythm section, concentrated energy that aims straight ahead. No frills, just a back-and-forth between nervy rhythm and blues and raw rock, as it was written in the mid-sixties.
