Luiza, a Franco-Brazilian singer, arrives at L’Astrolabe (Orléans) on December 3, 2026 with a self-titled debut album that carves out its own path. Trained from an early age at the Rennes Conservatory, she has made her voice her principal instrument, surrounding it with precise harmonies and arrangements that draw on Brazilian music, Afro-Latin rhythms, cumbia, Latin pop, dub and electronic music. Between Brittany and Brazil, her extended stays—particularly in the Amazon—have nourished a direct relationship to rhythm and song, which she extends on stage by alternating acoustic instruments—harp, guitar, piano—and electronic instruments. Her signature has already been noticed alongside Fakear on “Rituals,” with the dub duo Mahom on a cover of “Le temps de l’amour,” with Khoe-Wa, and on “Sua Pele” alongside iZem and Flavia Coelho. At L’Astrolabe she unfolds the songs from Luiza and the paths they open, between downtempo pulses, elaborate vocal arrangements and textures where the languages and landscapes that shaped her upbringing echo one another.
