Thomas VDB

Thomas VDB will be appearing on November 6, 2026 at Théâtre Le Colbert in Toulon with a new show currently in the works. In a deliberately offbeat spirit, he makes his intentions clear: he’s writing, he’ll perform for at least an hour, he’ll be on stage and the lights will be on. Behind this minimal promise is his taste for very concrete observations, those everyday details that catch, memories from the road and a stubborn passion for rock.

Before taking the stage, Thomas Vandenberghe worked as a journalist and was editor-in-chief of Rock Sound magazine. He hosted the French final of the air‑guitar contest, was spotted by the Jamel Comedy Club, then went on to Canal+, Le Mouv’ and France Inter, where he honed a rhythmic, punchy writing style. He is already the author of Thomas VDB en rock et en roll and Presque célèbre, two solo shows marked by pop culture and self‑deprecating humor.

In Toulon he returns with this evolving material, between sideways takes on current events and small personal obsessions. An hour or more, a mic, and the chance to see him test, trim and relaunch.
