Norman Cook, the Brighton DJ and producer behind the alias, shaped his sound in the 90s across acid house and big beat, flipping funk, hip-hop and rock samples into sharp, high-impact grooves. From Everybody Needs a 303 and the album You’ve Come a Long Way, Baby to the hit Praise You, his catalogue balances catchy hooks with chunky breakbeats that still light up a crowd. A former member of Beats International, he brings that cut-and-paste ethos to the booth, wired for movement and momentum.

On stage, Fatboy Slim keeps it loose and playful: quick cuts, cheeky samples, edits made for collective chorus moments, and an instinct for reading a dancefloor honed across clubs and festivals. His sets glide through foundation tunes like Right Here, Right Now, swerve into current house rollers and rave curveballs, and pull a few surprises from his producer crate. With Decibel setting the scene outdoors, he delivers the sample-led party energy that has carried him from Brighton seafronts to European festival stages.
