Info
On 28 June 2026 at Anfiteatro di Pompei, Pompei, Italy, Nino D'Angelo brings his Naples-rooted songwriting to the stage. Born in 1957 and first heard on cassette in the city's neighborhoods, he came up in the neomelodico wave, mixing plainspoken love songs with snapshots of urban life. Since the 1990s he's moved toward a more author-driven style, letting Neapolitan and Italian share space in lyrics that look at changing streets, family ties and the memory of the city. Alongside appearances at Sanremo and steady work in film and theater, he has kept a focus on narrative melodies that sit between canzone napoletana, Italian pop and ballad. This concert revisits that path: early neighborhood-inflected songs, more reflective pieces, and the storytelling that connects them, carried by a voice and writing shaped by Naples and refined across years on stage in Italy and abroad.
