Placebo celebrates its 30th anniversary on stage and puts its beginnings back in the spotlight. On 5 October 2026 at Zénith Toulouse Métropole, the duo Brian Molko / Stefan Olsdal will present a set built around their first two albums, Placebo and Without You I’m Nothing, including songs the band hasn’t played in more than twenty years. It’s an opportunity to revisit the raw material that shaped their sound: edgy guitars, taut bass, clipped beats and that voice with its distinctive timbre.

Since 1996, Placebo has cultivated a deliberately ambiguous, glamorous and provocative aesthetic, out of step with the dominant codes of British rock. This return to their origins brings back the themes that made them distinctive — identity, gender, desire, solitude — and the way the band opened space for other narratives. In Toulouse, Placebo unfolds a journey through its early years, between sharp edges and darker atmospheres, to re-perform this repertoire in the spirit of their beginnings.
