Taïro celebrates a quarter-century of music with reggae forged in sound system culture. Emerging from the Paris scene, he has built a French-language repertoire where rub-a-dub, dancehall and urban pop intersect, driven by lyrics attentive to relationships, everyday life and social issues. A seasoned singer-songwriter, he navigates between singing, toasting and effective melodies, with a way of rooting each track in a clear, direct groove inherited from the club scenes and sound systems that shaped his style.
At his side, Jahneration brings together two voices and a shared desire to make reggae, hip-hop and digital influences converse. The Parisian duo alternates sung choruses and rapped flows, in English as well as French, over instrumentals that range from roots to more modern textures. On record as well as live, their identity asserts itself in the balance between collective energy, melodic sense and openness to collaborations within the current reggae scene.
