On November 20, 2026, at La Coopérative de Mai in Clermont-Ferrand, La Maison Tellier will present their eighth album. Led by Helmut Tellier and his band, the Normandy-based group remains true to its course: making the music it loves and presenting it on stage as a narrative. This new chapter nods to 16 Horsepower’s final album and celebrates a broad-spectrum folk: Tex‑Mex mariachis in the vein of Calexico, misty ballads reminiscent of Shane MacGowan, and echoes of Ali Farka Touré. The songs speak of people—their urges as well as their wanderings—imbued with the taste for images and landscapes that runs through their discography. Guitars and pedal steel to the fore, carefully crafted vocal harmonies, organic arrangements: a concert conceived as a journey between French song and wide‑open spaces. La Maison Tellier draws on a strong sense of ensemble, storytelling, and attention to detail to shape a coherent, vibrant, and unadorned set.
