On March 5, 2027, Malte Ebert lands at Broløkke Herregård in Humble, Denmark with the gold-plated persona that shook Danish pop culture: Gulddreng. Dreamed up in 2016 as a tongue-in-cheek reflection of the country’s urban pop scene, Gulddreng let Ebert drop Model without his own name up front, then follow with Se mig nu, Drikker for lidt and Ked af det. Under the glossy veneer sits a tight blend of pop, dance and melodic R&B, lyrics winking at nightlife, bravado and the mechanics of fame.

Live, Ebert plays the edge between fiction and self, his taste for theatre shaping a performance where character and author trade places. The early run was gathered on the 24K EP, then rounded off with the album Farvel, a supposed farewell that didn’t stick: in 2021, Gulddreng resurfaced with Helt Sikker, a football-tinged chant that kept the character alive alongside Ebert’s work under his own name. On stage, that narrative becomes fuel for a show built on hooks, irony and timing, carried by a performer who knows how to frame the joke and still land the melody.
