Sweet

Formed in London in 1968, Sweet first broke through with bubblegum-leaning pop before shifting into a tougher glam rock sound in the mid-70s. That move defined their blend of hard rock riffs, tight vocal harmonies and catchy choruses. Working early on with the Chinn–Chapman writing team set the pace, then albums like Funny How Sweet Co-Co Can Be, Sweet Fanny Adams and Desolation Boulevard pushed the music toward a heavier edge that carried the band across Europe and North America.

On stage today, Sweet continues under guitarist Andy Scott, focusing on a live show that traces this journey from gleaming pop to crunching glam and melodic hard rock. The set taps into the catalogue’s different phases, balancing riff-driven energy with layered vocals and clean, direct hooks. It’s a concert built around the band’s core strengths: solid songwriting, a big guitar sound and harmonies that hit as one.
