Acopia (AU)

Formed in 2018 in Naarm/Melbourne, Acopia brings together Kate Durman, Lachlan McGeehan and Morgan Wright for a slow-bloom take on electronic pop, dream pop and ambient. Their music moves at unhurried tempos, working with space and repetition; voices blend into synth layers and discreet rhythmic motifs to build an introspective mood rather than a frontal push. The debut album, Chances (2022, Companion), set the approach, followed by a self-titled LP in 2023 that nudged the writing toward melody while staying minimal. In 2025, Blush Response on London label Scenic Route consolidated a studio language built on nuance, restraint and gradual transitions.

On stage, the trio keeps things stripped and focused, letting songs breathe and evolve. Acopia has toured clubs and independent venues across the UK, Europe and Australia, with stops at Wide Awake in London, Les Nuits Botanique in Brussels and Golden Plains in Australia, and shared bills with artists like Bar Italia, Tirzah and Raisa K.
