Goldmen - Concert Best of Goldman

On January 29, 2028, at the Zénith de Strasbourg, Goldmen shines a light again on Jean-Jacques Goldman’s repertoire with a Best Of tour. The band brings together seven musicians who perform the songs in their original keys, covering the solo periods as well as the Fredericks Goldman Jones era. On vocals, Alain Stevez conveys Goldman’s vocal color without overdoing it, while Sabrina Belmo sings Carole Fredericks’ parts, with the soulful timbre that defined the trio. The idea is simple: to recover the energy, the songwriting and the arrangements that gave the pieces their strength, without distorting them.

On the bill are staples such as Quand la musique est bonne, Je te donne, Un, deux, trois, Né en 17 à Leidenstadt, À nos actes manqués, and other songs that have accompanied several generations. The rhythm section keeps a steady groove, the guitars and keyboards attend to the details, and the backing vocals recreate those choruses made to be sung together. The project received public support from Michael Jones, a sign of respect for the original material. A staged tribute conceived for those who want to dive back into these songs as close as possible to their original spirit, for one evening in Strasbourg.
