Neg'Marrons

On November 27, 2026, at Le Bœuf sur le Toit in Lons‑le‑Saunier, Neg’ Marrons return to the stage with the rap, reggae and dancehall mix that shaped their identity. Jacky and Ben‑J, childhood friends from Garges‑lès‑Gonesse, started in the early ’90s, influenced by Ministère A.M.E.R, Deenastyle, Rapline and the legacy of Public Enemy. The duo’s name draws on the marrons—figures of resistance—and says much about lyrics rooted in reality, between Afro pride, social awareness and voices that carry.

Discovered by La Monnaie, they released at the end of the 1990s a string of tracks that became reference points and a debut album certified gold. As members of Secteur Ä on its reggae side, the duo expanded their network from French rap to Caribbean stages, with collaborations that circulated between studios and sound systems.

On stage, Neg’ Marrons deliver flows and sung choruses, heavy basslines, dancehall toasts and memorable hooks. Their repertoire draws on signature songs, between urban chronicles and festive vibes, and opens a new chapter with “Un peu de temps,” released in March, which heralds a project in progress. A live show designed to bring heritage and new material into dialogue, with a simple, direct energy.
