Info
On June 4, 2026, Waly Dia will take the stage at the Théâtre de la Madeleine in Paris’s 8th arrondissement. A stand-up comedian, actor and writer of Franco-Senegalese origin, he was first discovered on On n’demande qu’à en rire and later by the Jamel Comedy Club. He went on to perform the solo shows Face à Face(s) (Face to Face(s)), Garde la pêche ! (Keep Your Spirits Up!) and Ensemble ou rien (Together or Nothing). Since 2024 he has been performing Une heure à tuer (An Hour to Kill), a show nominated for the Molières in the comedy category. Give him an hour and he’ll take care of the rest: a tight stand-up set in which he scrutinizes social issues and the contradictions of everyday life, with a confident sense of observation, precise timing and a lively stage presence. No frills—just the words, the rhythm and a point of view that reframes the usual angle. Between intimate revelations and well-placed zingers, Waly Dia unfolds and reframes, advances and rebounds, offering a direct, no-nonsense performance true to his way of building the stage from real life.
