Monday, June 1, 2026 at Badaboum, Paris 11th arrondissement, Car Culture, BEA1991 and sofii share the stage for a concert that threads a line between sensitive pop and electronic experimentation.
BEA1991, a Dutch artist based between Amsterdam and London, has been shaping a pop sound on the edge of the experimental since the early 2010s. Between deconstructed R&B, minimal electronics, slow ballads and near-ambient textures, she favors pared-down melodies and a strong, present vocal. Her signature—heard on Good Thinking (2014), Brand New Adult (2019) and The Inside (2023)—includes muted guitars, subtle soundscapes and flexible song structures. She has also collaborated with Dev Hynes/Blood Orange, both in the studio and on stage, and brings the same attention to sonic and visual detail to her live performances.
Car Culture and sofii complete the bill. Each contributes their own universe and tempo, creating a sequence conceived for live performance that moves between gentle tensions, melodic breaths and more hazy passages. Three projects that converse without overpowering one another, gathered the same evening at Badaboum, Paris 11th arrondissement.
