On June 10, 2026 at MTELUS in Montréal, Tash Sultana brings a solo performance built in the moment. The Melbourne multi-instrumentalist writes, sings and stacks loops live, growing songs from a sparse guitar figure into dense, shifting layers. Their palette moves between psych rock, indie, soul and reggae with folk shades, leaving space for long dynamic rises, textured riffs and an expressive voice that can slip from a whisper to a sharp burst.
First noticed on Australia’s independent circuit and Triple J Unearthed, Tash reached a wider audience with Jungle from the Notion EP in 2016, then carried that momentum into the debut album Flow State (2018). Terra Firma (2021) nudged the arrangements toward warmer R&B and jazz colors without losing the improvisational core that shapes the shows.
On stage, Tash plays the full band alone: guitars, keys, percussion and effects built in real time, shifting from tight grooves to open-ended detours. The Montréal set draws across this catalog and keeps room for fresh turns, holding close to the live energy that drives their touring.
