LSD and the Search for God

On October 4, 2026, LSD and the Search for God bring their dense shoegaze to Berlin, performing at Neue Zukunft. The band from San Francisco emerged in 2005 on the Northern California coast and has since been constructing hypnotic live sets of swirling guitars, otherworldly drone textures, fuzz-soaked pop melodies and dreamy harmonies. Live, it’s about an immersive pull and texture — about volume, feedback and the slow unfolding of layers.

Early shows and recordings were often placed alongside My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Yo La Tengo, Spacemen 3 and Sonic Youth. Their self-titled debut EP made the rounds in the scene; all five tracks cemented their place in the shoegaze revival of the late 2000s. “Starting Over” moves between vulnerability and expansiveness and remains a fan favorite.

With the second EP, Heaven Is a Place, LSD and the Search for God sharpened their approach, expanded the dynamics and opened up space for even denser sonic clouds. In Berlin, these songs meet the immediate energy of the stage — a concentrated trip between dream pop, psych and space rock that bathes the night in subtle distortion.
