Info
The Roadrunners take the stage at the Cabaret Vauban in Brest on 29 October 2026. Taking their name from a Chuck Jones character and Bo Diddley’s classic, this Le Havre band made its mark on French rock between 1982 and 1996, with six albums and a host of concerts given mainly in France but also abroad, from the United States to Belgium. Their signature lies in a simple, effective balance: crisp melodies that recall the Beatles, the nervous energy of The Jam, and a garage-pop bent close to the French band Les Dogs. Driven by direct guitars and taut tempos, their songs rest on Franglish lyrics written by Frandol—a mix of French and English that suits their straightforward songwriting. On stage, the Roadrunners stick to the essentials: short tracks, biting choruses, and an alternation of English and French songs drawn from across their discography. In Brest you’ll hear that lively sound played without artifice by a band shaped by years on the road and in clubs, with the way they string songs together that has become their identity.
