Patson dans Baltazar

Patson returns with Baltazar, an American-style stand-up in which he deploys his direct, rhythmic delivery. An observer of everyday life, he picks up on what unfolds between here and there — between Africa, the Antilles and France — and turns it into stories that speak to everyone. Using very conversational language and a keen sense of timing, he plays off the audience: he strings together jokes, callbacks and improvisations without missing a beat, drawing on both street codes and those of the diasporas. He teases broadly, moves from one subject to another with ease, and keeps that taste for detail that makes laughter arise from the corner of an expression or a gesture. His gimmicks are plentiful: “Yes papa”, nimble footwork, well-timed asides — all supported by a stage presence that focuses on the essentials, microphone in hand.
