King King

On 28 March 2026, King King will perform at the P60 pop venue in Amstelveen. The Scottish band from Glasgow, built around singer-guitarist Alan Nimmo, straddles blues-rock, soul and melodic classic rock. Since the late 2000s they grew out of the British blues scene—through club shows and festivals—into a series of albums: Take My Hand (2011), Standing in the Shadows (2013), Reaching for the Light (2015), Exile & Grace (2017) and Maverick (2020).

On stage, King King are about a direct sound: robust guitars, warm keyboards, backing vocals with a hint of gospel, and songs with a straightforward structure. Nimmo’s raw voice carries the choruses, the rhythm section keeps things tight, and the set alternates between slow, bluesy ballads and more driving tracks. With Alan Nimmo as the constant, the band continues to focus live on songs that work in the room, without unnecessary frills, leaving space for tension and interaction.
