Dubioza Kolektiv

Dubioza Kolektiv will play on 4 April 2026 at TivoliVredenburg, Utrecht. The Bosnian collective, formed in the early 2000s in the aftermath of the war, blends ska‑punk, reggae, hip‑hop, rock and Balkan rhythms into a compact, driving sound. Musicians from Zenica and Sarajevo form the core; multilingualism and sharp, socially charged lyrics are part of their DNA. From the self-titled debut through Dubnamite and Firma Ilegal to later releases such as Apsurdistan, Happy Machine and #fakenews, the band pairs danceable grooves with themes like migration, corruption, identity and digital culture, sung in local languages as well as in English.

Live, Dubioza Kolektiv is all about direct contact with the audience. Tight riffs, brass and electronic touches set the pace, choruses are chanted back and short breaks keep the tension high. The set moves between early tracks and recent material, with Balkan hooks alongside punk attitude and rap verses. An evening where rhythm and message reinforce each other, delivered without detours and with plenty of room for singalongs and audience reaction.
