Skye Newman

On 25 April 2026 Skye Newman will perform at Melkweg in Amsterdam. The British artist from Southeast London moves fluidly between rap, soul and pop, with lyrics drawn from everyday life, the swings between certainty and doubt, and the stories of the people around her. A childhood marked by frequent moves and limited means colors her perspective; an aunt who sang jazz and blues opened the door to studios and songwriting. Influences such as Amy Winehouse, Adele, Bob Marley and Eminem have left traces in her sound without drowning out her own voice.
