Camilo

On 24 June 2026 the Colombian singer-songwriter Camilo will perform at Melkweg in Amsterdam. Born in Medellín in 1994, he first attracted attention at home with Factor XS (2007) before striking out on his own as a songwriter and artist. After an initial, youthful pop-rock album his sound shifted toward Latin pop and urbana: warm, acoustic arrangements, a gentle reggaetón pulse and melodies that stick immediately, with the occasional touch from the Andes.

Between 2020 and 2022 he affirmed that direction with Por Primera Vez, Mis Manos and De Adentro Pa Afuera: a mix of ballads, mid-tempo tracks and songs that invite movement. Camilo also writes for other Latin American artists, which is evident in his feel for hooks and rhythm and in how smoothly he moves between romantic pop and light, tropical hues.

Live he brings those sides together in a set that balances intimacy and danceability. Expect songs that feel close without being overbearing, space for acoustic elements and percussion, and an audience — La Tribu — that carries every chorus along. In this way his pop-latino music takes on a human scale without surrendering its sense of groove.
