Info
On 18 June 2026, Patronaat in Haarlem presents an evening with Sólstafir, Oranssi Pazuzu and Hulder.
Sólstafir come from Iceland and have evolved from a raw black‑metal foundation into a blend of post‑metal and atmospheric rock. Long arcs of tension, slow guitars and dreamy textures set the tone, with vocals that often remain in Icelandic. The result is sprawling compositions in which intimate passages and heavier eruptions alternate, without losing the melodic thread.
Oranssi Pazuzu, from Finland, links black metal with psychedelia, krautrock impulses and expansive synth layers. The quintet works with repetitive rhythms, undulating guitars and keyboards that stretch the pieces into a trance‑like flow. Between liturgical movements and chaotic peaks the band continues to sing in Finnish, developing its own cosmic vocabulary.
Hulder is a Belgian/American solo project that records everything in the studio and performs live with a full band. The sound leans on early Scandinavian black metal: raw guitars, clear melodic lines and keyboards with a medieval sheen. Thematically it focuses on dark rural motifs and ancient myths, rendered as compact, to‑the‑point songs that drive straight ahead on stage.
