Marillion

On 23 October 2026 Marillion will play at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. Since the late 1970s the British band has been writing its own chapter in prog: long, melodic compositions with room for storytelling and atmosphere. Live, the focus is on Steve Rothery’s layered guitars, Mark Kelly’s keyboards and a solid foundation from Pete Trewavas and Ian Mosley, with Steve Hogarth pulling the songs into the present.

On stage Marillion moves effortlessly between eras. From the Fish years come the theatrical contours and drama of Script for a Jester’s Tear, Fugazi and Misplaced Childhood. With Hogarth the emphasis shifted toward introspection and contemporary textures, from Seasons End and Brave to Marbles, F E A R and An Hour Before It’s Dark. Expect a set that connects decades of material into flowing suites, slow-building tension and details that only land halfway through, with ambient and electronic accents here and there. Not a nostalgia trip, but rather a band that opens up its catalogue and lets it breathe, with melody and narrative remaining at the forefront in Eindhoven.
