On 8 May 2026 The Neighbourhood will play at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. The California band fronted by Jesse Rutherford, Zach Abels, Jeremy Freedman, Mikey Margott and Brandon Fried rose to prominence in the early 2010s with "Sweater Weather," and has since built a distinctive black-and-white universe: alternative rock blended with dreamy pop and modern R&B. Tracks like "Daddy Issues," "Afraid" and "Softcore" illustrate their mix of melancholy, sensuality and introspection, while the albums I Love You., Wiped Out! and Chip Chrome & The Mono-Tones each added a new layer to their sound.
With the more experimental (((((ultraSOUND))))), where electronic textures meet misty guitars, they again push the boundaries. Live this translates into strongly contrasting atmospheres: from subtle, almost whispering passages to more tense eruptions, with Rutherford shifting between falsetto and a dark croon. Guitars and synths weave wide, cinematic layers, and the rhythms remain tight and agile. In the Ziggo Dome that signature will gain extra breadth and volume, in a set that places classics and more recent work side by side. For those drawn to indie with an R&B edge and melodies that linger.
