Sanseverino

Info

Sanseverino has the art of reinventing himself. With Lazcar Volcano, a playful, brass-driven band, he embarks on a collaborative project where songs and horns sketch a slightly skewed future. On May 22, 2026, at the Point Fort d’Aubervilliers in Aubervilliers, the encounter finds its full meaning on stage: the singer’s razor-sharp lyrics settle over the group’s compositions, nourished by influences that roam freely—from ethio-jazz to New Orleans second-line, from calypso to Latin rhythms. A few pieces from his repertoire are revisited, reworked for the breath and breadth of the brass. Between imaginary chronicles and visions of a tomorrow alternately dark or sardonic, the music grooves, moves people and provokes thought, like a satirical fresco in motion.

Opening the evening, Pepin et ses Pommettes arrive with four voices and a minimal but effective setup—cello, bass, cajón, ukulele. Eight years on the road, lyric-driven songs that sting, and burlesque melodies that turn just enough: everything needed to kick off the night and lay the groundwork before Sanseverino & Lazcar Volcano.
