Pina Palau has always been drawn to unvarnished humanity: motives, emotions, stories. That curiosity led her to study medicine with the intention of becoming a psychiatrist. At the same time she wrote songs — out of that grew her debut album Illusion, featuring the single Jupi. Now the Swiss artist is bringing these songs to the stage: on 18 March 2026 at the Nochtwache in Hamburg, with support from Lost in Lona.
Live, Pina Palau’s dry humour meets the precise observations of her songwriting. Her band lays down dark fuzz guitars, melodic basslines and dry drumming beneath a voice that swings between intimacy and distance. Touring across Europe, support slots for Courtney Barnett and Alex Lahey, and appearances at the Reeperbahn Festival and the Montreux Jazz Festival have sharpened her live performance. The set combines introspection with drive — direct, honest and without frills.
