Info
On March 8, 2026, Malibu brings her meditative electronics to Longboat Hall in Toronto. A French composer and vocalist, she shapes pieces that drift between ambient, drone, neoclassical inflections and traces of pop. Muted pianos and bright woodwinds rise over dense strings and synth pads, while her voice moves from intimate spoken fragments to long breaths and gasps that function like instruments. On stage, she folds these elements into an immersive set guided by precise sound dynamics and attentive lighting, somewhere between an ambient performance and a slow tempo club selection. This live practice has taken her to festivals such as Atonal and C2C, and on the road opening for Oklou’s Choke Enough tour. The same approach appears in her NTS show United in Flames, where guests including Evian Christ, Casey MQ and Stella Explorer join her for mixes with a clear narrative thread. Malibu also composes for film, notably the 2024 score for La Fille Qui Explose, presented at the Cannes Film Festival.
