Kygo

Kygo will perform on 8 August 2026 at SparkassenPark Mönchengladbach. The Norwegian producer and DJ Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll, from Bergen, has shaped a melodic take on tropical house: moderate tempos, prominent piano lines, bright textures and structures that are closer to the pop song than to a pure club track. He first gained attention with early remixes such as Ed Sheeran’s “I See Fire” and his breakthrough single “Firestone”; he went on to release the albums Cloud Nine, Kids in Love, Golden Hour and Thrill of the Chase. On stage Kygo combines his piano motifs with vocal features and catchy hooks; collaborations with Selena Gomez, Ellie Goulding, Miguel and Imagine Dragons are part of his repertoire, as is his version of “Higher Love” based on a recording by Whitney Houston. The set in Mönchengladbach focuses on harmonic progressions and airy grooves — a span from streaming hits to newer material, with an emphasis on melody, warmth and a pop-oriented build of tension.
