Myrath

Myrath will be at La Puce À l’Oreille in Riom on October 17, 2026. Formed in 2001 in the suburbs of Tunis, the band forges a progressive metal sound nourished by power metal, threaded with melodies and rhythms from North Africa and the Middle East. Centered on guitarist Malek Ben Arbia and vocalist Zaher Zorgati, the songs blend precise riffs, Arabic modes, cinematic orchestrations and percussion. Onstage, the setlist draws from Hope, Desert Call and Tales of the Sands, continues with Legacy and Shehili, and opens onto the newer textures of Karma. The structures remain finely carved, with time‑signature changes, instrumental passages and choruses carried by vocal lines in English and sometimes Arabic, all with a constant concern for melody. Between progressive and power, Myrath assembles a dense yet fluid sonic material where technique serves momentum and dynamic contrast. A chance to hear live the union of cutting riffs, Eastern ornamentation and arrangements conceived for dynamics, just as the band has shaped them since its beginnings.
