Ray Wilson & Band will take the stage at the Martinikirche Buer in Melle on 22 October 2027. The Scottish singer became known as the short-term frontman of Genesis on the album Calling All Stations; before that he had shaped a darker, melodic rock sound with Stiltskin. Since then he has released music under his own name and with a band, spanning rock, pop and acoustic ballads. Albums such as Change, The Next Best Thing, Propaganda Man, Chasing Rainbows, Song for a Friend and Makes Me Think of Home demonstrate his preference for melodic songwriting and stripped-down arrangements.
Live, Wilson combines his material with newly reinterpreted pieces from the Genesis and Stiltskin repertoire. With a band behind him he brings vocals, guitars and keyboards into shifting dynamics, from quiet moments to more powerful passages. The set traces the stages of his career and puts voice and lyrics at the centre.
