The Goo Goo Dolls bring their Canada Spring 2026 tour to Rogers Place in Edmonton on March 26, 2026. Formed in Buffalo in 1986 around John Rzeznik and Robby Takac, the band shifted from rough-edged alternative beginnings to a melodic pop-rock craft that carried songs like Name and Iris. On stage, they mix chiming guitars, acoustic contours and tight hooks, threading early cuts from A Boy Named Goo and Dizzy Up the Girl with 2000s highlights from Gutterflower and Let Love In, then into more recent chapters with Miracle Pill and Chaos in Bloom. The set traces their path from punk-tinged urgency to streamlined, emotive songwriting while keeping a live, guitar-first feel.
Also on the bill, Dashboard Confessional, the project led by singer-guitarist Chris Carrabba. Born from intimate acoustic songs and later expanded to a full-band emo and alternative palette, the show moves between close-up confession and ringing dynamics. From The Swiss Army Romance and The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most to Crooked Shadows and All the Truth That I Can Tell, Carrabba brings voice-and-guitar clarity anchored in narrative songwriting and a direct, unvarnished delivery.
