Nino D’Angelo retraces his own history with I miei meravigliosi anni ’80 …bis!, a concert conceived as a return to the decade that brought him to prominence. It captures the energy of his beginnings: songs in the Neapolitan dialect that moved from cassette tapes to the screen through his musical films, featuring direct melodies and simple language rooted in Naples’ working-class neighborhoods. Without forced nostalgia, he reawakens this neomelodic repertoire and links it to the Neapolitan song tradition, Italian pop and the ballad form he has explored since the 1990s, where Neapolitan and Italian respond to one another. Between urban chronicle, the city's memory and family stories, narrative remains central, carried by an intimate, straightforward voice.
