UMI - People Stories World Tour

On April 28, 2026, UMI will be appearing as part of the People Stories World Tour at the Luxor in Cologne (Luxemburger Straße 40, 50674 Cologne). Born in Seattle and now based in Los Angeles, singer-songwriter Tierra Umi Wilson blends R&B and neo-soul with pop-tinged and partly acoustic colors in her songs. Her music relies on intimate arrangements, calm melodies and a warm voice that leaves room for subtle details. Lyrically, her texts revolve around identity, spirituality, relationships and mental health – often bilingual, alternating between English and Japanese.

After early DIY releases, she followed with the EPs Love Affair (2017), Interlude (2018) and Love Language (2019), on which UMI more explicitly weaves in her Afro-Japanese roots. With Introspection (2020) and Introspection Reimagined (2021) she deepened this personal approach, before her debut album Forest in the City was released in 2022, which brings together alternative R&B, contemporary soul elements and delicate folk nuances.

Live, UMI brings this pared-down, approachable aesthetic into the club space: songs that breathe, clear hooks, careful dynamics – a set that moves between contemplative moments and gentle groove.
