CMAT

CMAT, born Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson, comes from Dublin and blends pop with country, Americana and indie touches. On 26 March 2026 she will be on stage at the Tempodrom in Berlin. Since the late 2010s she has been drawing attention with direct melodies and pop-culture references; her lyrics revolve around relationships, loneliness and the small obsessions of everyday life. On stage she seeks a direct rapport with the audience and adopts an intentionally theatrical manner that carries her stories without losing sight of the songs.

Her debut If My Wife New I’d Be Dead was released in 2022 and stakes out territory between country-pop ballads and more driving tracks. In 2023 she followed with Crazymad, For Me, a concept album about separation and the passage of time. Live, catchy choruses meet harmonies inspired by traditional country; the narrative tone balances irony and open vulnerability. The result is a set that swings between intimacy and forward momentum, placing CMAT’s talent for pointed storytelling at its centre.
