Mitch Ryder « Songs from the Road » Tour 2026

On 27 February 2026 Mitch Ryder will bring his Songs from the Road Tour to Roxy Concerts in Flensburg. The Detroit-born singer blended rock’n’roll, soul and rhythm and blues in the 1960s, shaping a sound that still resonates today. With The Detroit Wheels he released singles such as 'Jenny Take a Ride!' and 'Devil with a Blue Dress On' as well as the albums 'Take a Ride!', 'Breakout…!!!' and 'Sock It to Me!'. He then pursued solo projects, including 'Detroit' (1971) and 'How I Spent My Vacation' (1978), and collaborated with John Mellencamp on 'Never Kick a Sleeping Dog' (1983). Since then Ryder has toured regularly between the US and Europe.

On stage the focus is on voice, groove and direct drive. The set combines early singles with later material and reflects his blend of rock, soul and rhythm and blues, played in compact, club-ready arrangements. A live show that takes the songs back to their origins: immediate, visceral and unadorned. Flensburg will witness a concentrated retrospective of an artist who prefers to present his repertoire in the room rather than in the studio.
