Turin Brakes - 2026 Spacehopper European Tour

On 27 February 2026 the London duo Turin Brakes will bring their Spacehopper European Tour to the Nochtspeicher in Hamburg. Since the late 1990s Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian have shaped an acoustically grounded folk-rock, carried by two-part vocal harmonies, fingerpicked guitars and a calm, clear energy. Emerging from the New Acoustic Movement, they have broadened their sound step by step: from the intimate sketches on The Optimist LP (2001) through the more open sonic spaces of Ether Song (2003) to the more recent albums Lost Property, Invisible Storm and Wide-Eyed Nowhere.

Live, Turin Brakes employ an expanded band setup without losing sight of their strength for stripped-down songwriting. The songs move effortlessly between folky ballads, indie-tinged pop nuances and soft rock, with a focus on melody and timing rather than gimmickry. In Hamburg they will present this blend on stage, spanning more than two decades of material — close to the acoustic, attentive to detail, with the composed presence that has defined the tone of their concerts for years.
