Info
Nearly ten years after they drew the curtain, The Dillinger Escape Plan returns to the stage on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the Élysée Montmartre in Paris. A key figure of mathcore formed in the late 1990s in New Jersey, the band forged a grammar of broken rhythms, tempo ruptures and dissonant harmonies, straddling hardcore and experimental metal. For this date, the group is spotlighting Calculating Infinity, their debut album released in 1999, whose short, fractured pieces laid the groundwork for their most abrasive writing.
Anchored by Ben Weinman’s cutting guitar and a razor-tight rhythm section, this repertoire lines up syncopations, angular riffs and punchy sequences, with fleeting melodic escapes that break the line before launching it again. On stage, the energy translates into sharp precision, crisp transitions and a sense of contrast that plays as much on impact as on collective dynamics.
From the initial detonations of Under the Running Board to the divergent paths explored thereafter, The Dillinger Escape Plan cultivated a habit of subversion. This Paris date refocuses on the origin: a set centered on Calculating Infinity, revisiting the blueprint that defined their aesthetic and their way of composing tension.
