Info
On October 6, 2026, at MTELUS in Montréal, W.A.S.P. will present “1984 to Headless,” a set that traces the years that defined their identity—from their self-titled debut through The Headless Children. Led by singer, bassist and guitarist Blackie Lawless, the Los Angeles outfit emerged on the Sunset Strip wielding a blend of shock rock, rapid-fire riffs and hook-laden choruses, accompanied by a theatrical approach to staging that amplified the music’s impact.
Those early albums—W.A.S.P. (1984), The Last Command (1985) and Inside the Electric Circus (1986)—display a hard-rock edge with a glam bite, tightened for speed and memorable hooks. By 1989, The Headless Children moved their sound into darker, more focused territory, with sharper songwriting and greater emotional depth. This concert reconnects those strands, juxtaposing early anthems with the grit and shadow of the Headless era, and illustrating how Lawless has guided the band’s tone through shifting lineups without abandoning its essence: biting guitars, propulsive rhythms and choruses meant to be sung back.
