Roshi, formerly Captain Roshi, has built a clear signature: a gripping, hoarse voice and dark rap carried by thick trap productions. A rasped timbre, distinctive hooks and straightforward writing make up an identifiable style, between taut verses and more relaxed, often mid‑tempo choruses.

Born in Congo and arriving in France at 11, he initially replayed the flows of his favourite MCs before asserting his own path. His lyrics draw on a life spent between the 18th arrondissement, Saint‑Denis and Villeneuve‑Saint‑Georges, with unflinching street stories. From “Attaque” to “Contre‑Attaque”, from “W.A.R” to “Larosh”, he lines up projects and sharpens a palette where heavy bass and synth pads answer each other.
