Pi Ja Ma

On 27 March 2026 at the Maison Populaire in Montreuil, Pi Ja Ma, also known as Pauline de Tarragon, presents a new work that brings her sensitive pop toward a more electro-acoustic territory. A collector of sounds and a self‑confessed tape enthusiast, she records, gathers and transforms everyday materials into textures, loops and harmonies that get straight to the essentials. Her voice, direct yet gentle, slips between minimal rhythms, synth pads and guitar echoes, letting memories surface and warp as in a dream.

Nourished by her grandfather’s garrigue, this live set assembles field recordings, light percussion, micro‑melodies and interplays of vocal harmonies. It showcases her taste for simple songs, understated refrains and a very direct relationship to words, but these are unsettled by experiments that open up the sonic space. Between performance, dream and immersion, Pi Ja Ma sculpts an intimate landscape, occasionally danceable, threaded with a clear melancholy. Her visual world is never far and converses with the music, creating a stage experience in which every sound becomes a fragment of a story.
